***Oct. 20 - Ashley has a pending foster-to-adopt home - Ashley is a gorgeous large puppy girl who needs a foster home. She is one of 2 dogs in a special "dogatarian" and Humanitarian project; info is at the bottom of the page. The 2 dogs will be fostered separately. Can you offer a safe haven and lots of love and attention to Ashley until a forever home is found? If so, please contact us ASAP! Link to more pics is also way down below..... please scroll down

Ashley is a large 8-month old puppy. She weighed 63 lbs at 7 months so she will be a very large adult. They think she may be an Anatolian Shepherd and/or Malinois. She is 8 months old now. She has been tested for all parasites, is spayed and up to date in her vetting.

Ashley is very smart, loving and curious. Nothing makes her happier than to see her human pack and she needs some training on her greeting manners (jumping) She is full of life and energy but is also happy to be a lapdog and watch TV with you. She can be a bit timid around strangers at first but she warms up to them quickly. She will surely benefit from more socialization.

She is good with other dogs and avoids any conflicts. Currently (September), she is mastering basic commands: "sit, stand, down, come", and house training. There is a Miss Piggy hidden inside of her that makes her very trainable as she would do anything for a treat. She is not possessive of her food or toys, and surrenders them easily.

Our special project: Ashley and Lucy are two beautiful older puppy girls who were lucky enough to get a great start in a difficult location in the Middle East ... Their rescuer cares enough to pay ALL their vet and travel expenses to get them here to a better life. If they have to go to the shelter where they are, they will be there their WHOLE lives.... and they are so young - imagine 10-14 years in a shelter!! Big dogs have virtually no chance of adoption where they are. We can't rescue all the dogs over there, but we can help these two. The vetting has been meticulous. The area has the same common parasites as here and these have been tested for (negative) and preventive treatment applied. Please help us rescue Ashley and at the same time, give peace of mind to the kind gentleman who has cared for her so well and wishes her life to be better.

If you are interested in fostering Ashley, please email us for information and an application.

Remember, when you foster, we pay all the bills, you provide the love, care and attention!

Be a hero... volunteer a bit of time or foster a dog for a local rescue ... make a difference!
